Writers' and Readers' Festival Day Two:

Our picks for today:1. The Afghan War, 10 am F&P Auditorium, University of Auckland - despite the lack of Michael Hastings, this will be a fascinating panel discussion of the war and its media depictions.
2. A quick race through Albert Park for The Future of the Novel with Jeffrey Eugenides and Emily Perkins - I've been so loking forward to this.
I'm hoping to screw my courage to the sticking place and be brave enough to ask the always beautifully dressed Emily Perkins and the equally dapper Eugenides for What Writers Wear photos.
3. At 1 pm in the ASB Theatre Chandran Nair will deliver Consumptionomics, the Michael King Memorial Lecture. Again, we've both been intensely loking forward to this.

4. Then back off up the hill to the F&P auditorium for Tweeting the Revolution - Lane is really excited about this one. Toby Manhire, Vaughn Davis and Russell Brown - promises insightful conversation regarding the impact of social media on political change. Maybe those guys will be up for What Writers Wear photos too?

Anyway - here's what I'm wearing to Writers' and Readers' Fest Day two:
Wearing Trelise Cooper dress, vintage amber necklace purchased for my mother by my father in 1973, tights, boots (as yesterday) and the enormous KW/Swanndri bag for all festival-related guff.

See you there!
