So much to do! I had a wonderful time watching others ice-skating and listening to Ruby Frost last Thursday to welcome both the Paradice Aotea Square Ice Rink and Nutcracker on Ice to Tamaki Makaurau. (The least said about my attempts at ice-skating, the better!) The Nutcracker opens tonight and will be utterly amazing - I can't wait to see more of the breath-taking dancing we glimpsed last week.

Thursday Lane and I are heading out to one of our monthly highlights - LATE at the Museum - this month's is about pride, and is facilitated by the wonderful Wallace Chapman. Can you tell I'm looking forward to it?
Saturday is my birthday - and amoungst all the present unwrapping, eating, and party prep, I'm planning to head to one of my favourite places - the Auckland Art Gallery - for the opening of their latest exhibition AKL Home, a major group exhibition of Pacific contemporary art, with several special commissions being unveiled on Saturday.

We're going to head down to the gallery this week too, as there's a specially commissioned piece being installed in the forecourt pool ahead of Saturday's opening.
Happy birthday to me! How's your Matariki going? Are you celebrating this season of renewal?
